New Workshop that I will be teaching in San Clemente, California

"Bay of Crystal Cove", oil on linen panel, 16x12

You will learn how to start and complete a poetic, plein air impressionism oil painting in this one-day workshop focusing on seascapes. In the studio, you’ll be introduced to the principles of composition, values, perception of light and color, how light creates form, atmospheric perspective, and the organization of mass and form. You will learn how to create gestural brushstrokes to give texture & feel. Finally, you will learn how to appeal to the emotions of the viewer through the properties of paint. Studio and Outdoors.
